Embrace the holiday spirit at the Vancouver Christmas Market. Modelled after an authentic German Christmas Market, get some treats, sip on mulled wine, ride the carousel and explore the over 50 vendors that are on display during the festive holiday season.

2. Ice Skating In Robson Square

Embrace the dropping temperatures and head to this charming outdoor skating rink for some old fashioned romance at Robson Square. Spin, glide and hold hands as you take your turn around the ice. Wrap up your romantic date night ice side snuggled up with a blanket and a thermos of hot chocolate.

3. Indoor Rock Climbing

Feeling sporty and adventurous? Trying new activities together has been shown to build chemistry and increase bonding and trust. The Hive has locations in Vancouver and across the lower mainland. One of my favorite Vancouver winter date ideas is the snowshoe and fondue date! Enjoy a romantic evening together exploring gorgeous mountain views by snowshoe. Then end it by sharing a cheese and chocolate fondue together with a nice glass of vino. Offered by both Cypress and Grouse Mountain.

5. Festival Of Lights At VanDusen Gardens

Stroll hand in hand through VanDusen Gardens turned Winter Wonderland and experience the over 1 million lights that are on display at the Festival of Lights. If you’ve been dating for awhile there is nothing more romantic than exploring Whistler. It’s like having a charming European Village in our own backyard! Go for the day or bring your date to the next level by renting a room with an outdoor hot tub and popping the champagne.

7. Enjoy A Holiday Movie Marathon Together

Sometimes there’s nothing better on a cold night than staying in with your partner. Light a fire or a few candles. Then grab a tub of popcorn, add a cheap and cheerful bottle of wine. And snuggle up under covers for a winter themed movie marathon.

Alternatively, another fun winter indoor activity is to head to a local comedy club like The Comedy Mix or Yuk Yuks for a night of laughter with your boo.

10. Go Cross-Country Skiing
